how to transfer photos from phone to computer
Camera Roll photos ( taken with iphone) are imported as they would be from any digital camera.

Photo library ( pics synced to iphone from your computer) are synced only one way - computer to iphone, as they came from your computer in the first place they should still be there and included in your regular backup of your computer.
My backup drive died with my itunes backup when I was re-installing iOS X. I have pictures on my phone I would like to get to my mac.
Is there any other way to transfer photos. I've being trying for a while to transfer from my iPhone 5 to my mac book pro but for some reason when the photo app opens it shows nothing to import.

[for latest mac users] connect your phone to your laptop and the photos app will automatically appear and it’s gonna have a button that says “import new” so you click that
do you have a mac or?
I cannot move the phtos from iphone to PC, not mac, the only way is connecting Icloud, if I connect directly iphone to PC i can only move few photos, why is this problem?
